How Men Annoy Women

Saturday, August 29th, 2009

Fights between couples often finish unresolved, with the fight intensifying when next the subject comes up. The argument is usually followed by several hours or days of silence before inevitably making up. What are the contributing factors that annoy women about their man?

Arguments often start with (usually) the girl giving him the silent treatment and the guy having no clue why she is upset. After a while she will finally let him have the facts about being annoyed that he had lunch with the new girl at work, or is still consoling his ex about her personal problems – sound familiar?

Point being, men are usually pretty clueless as to what sets women off, so we decided to piece together some advice for couples as to what men often do to annoy their other halves. So listen up guys, and you’ll go along way in attracting the type of woman you want to meet, or stop annoying the one you already have.

Pain in the ….!

Picking up your mess and leaving a trail of destruction. The odd finished beer can or your jacket being left out is fine, but constantly having to nag day after day, as the mess begins to grow, starts to grate on any relationship. The very last thing you want to do is have your girl start sounding like your mum. Solution? Clean up your mess, it’s pretty simple stuff. Imagine if all the conflicts of the world could be solved so easily.

The bathroom is her sanctuary.

Have the decency not to leave your toe nail clippings in the sink, or your pubic hairs on her body soap. Wipe your willy after you wee, so she doesn’t end up standing on the dregs of your urine droplets on the floor. Put the toilet seat down, leaving the lid up is just fine though.

Financial matters.

Men often question and comment on the over priced shoes, or hair do women treat themselves to, but rarely draw a parallel to the $300 they just blew at the race track. Until there is a genuine financial agreement or sharing of bank accounts, questioning her spending habits is really not on. A good compromise could be that you both put aside $30-$40 each per week and save up for a holiday together.

Talking to her like she’s one of the blokes.

If you are trying to prove to her that you have a romantic bone left in your body, don’t address her as “mate” or by her surname. This is bringing her to the level of friendship. Girls don’t care about how much you can bench press or how your footy team got creamed on the weekend or how many shots of vodka you downed last Friday night. Find some common ground in your conversations that include her.

What does the future hold.

Men are very good at addressing issues regarding the future that causes confusion as to whether she is part of any future with him. It’s like they keep their options open until the very last minute. Gemma, who is a member of our online dating site wrote in to tell us that her ex boyfriend “would make a habit of mentioning that he received an invitation to a party or a mates wedding, but would hold off inviting me until the last minute”. This kind of behavior doesn’t do alot for her faith in the stability of the relationship.

Never stop trying.

Getting married or committing to a relationship is often a signal for him to stop trying to impress her, or perhaps taking her for granted might by another way she could look at this. Continue to make the effort with sex, take her out once a week for dinner, combined with a bunch of flowers now and then and show her your still into her – which she needs to know.

Single with Children

Sunday, August 23rd, 2009

The statisticians tell us that in America, somewhere between 40 and 50 percent of first marriages end in divorce. As a result some newly single people with children can find it tough…but it doesn’t have to be.

Dating sites have changed the relationship landscape for single parents with children. Parents, of course, worry about how dating a new partner will affect their children – and how easily their new partner will accept those children.

Vicki Lansky, author of Divorce Book For Parents: Helping Children Cope With Divorce And Its Aftermath, offers this advice: “For many, dating and sex for the second or third time around is very daunting. Simply because you have been married in the past won’t always mean that you are more qualified in this area than someone else. Gaining back a socially active life is crucial, it assists a parent from obsessing about their job as a parent. Allowing your adult lifestyle to be completely dictated by your child’s is very unhealthy for both parent and child.”

Lansky offers and delivers commonsense tips for single parents, such as meeting your date somewhere other than at your home for the first few dates, and not to have too many different romantic prospects coming into and out of your children’s lives – while this is obvious to most parents, what feels like a long time between partners for you may not be to your children – it sends the wrong message.

Making time for dating as a single parent.

Fitting dating into an already hectic schedule really is pretty tough, however maintaining active social outlets is a crucial component to your self care for single parents. So how do Moms and Dads set time aside for themselves as well as maintaining their children’s constant attention needs?

There are groups of single parents that get together for pre-arranged meet-ups at the local park, McDonalds, or at one of the parents homes. But for those single parents who don’t have access to regular baby sitters, these meet-ups usually involve dragging the screaming kids along with Mom or Dad hardly being able to relax and socialize, missing the opportunity to get to know the other Moms and Dads – sound familiar?

Hookmeup Online has recently introduced a single parents online group facility where Moms and Dads meet up online and can interact via live singles chat sessions making the whole ‘getting to know each other’ process that much more convenient. If you are a single parent and are stuck in a social rut, you owe it to yourself to take advantage of what free dating websites can offer time restricted single parents.

Get Fit for Better Sex

Saturday, August 15th, 2009

Learn how to combine your workout to benefit you (and your partner) in the bedroom. Discover how to establish the foundations that lead to more power, lasting stamina in the bedroom, and expand on your sex positions.

The foundations and muscles that deliver strong sex!

Building up your shoulders, chest and triceps will allow you to hold up the weight of your body for an extended time, which will of course allow you to sustain a certain position for as long as you both need. Don’t allow yourself to disappoint her and throw the towel in just because you’re not fit enough to go the distance.

Flexibility.

Flexibility and versatility goes hand in hand when it comes to great sex. By including stretching in your gym programme you can expand on your sex positions. Expanding and experimenting with new sex positions is a crucial element for relationships in order to keep the flame burning.

Increasing you stamina.

As far as sex goes for men, stamina is THE most crucial element in satisfying a women. How often do we hear about the man stopping short when she is just getting started. When it comes to sex it’s not all about building muscles, size and strength, it’s about impressing her with your stamina and rhythm. Endurance exercises that promote overall fitness combined with weight training will set you up nicely. Try to include cardio training by using a rowing machine, cross trainer, bike, and consider taking a pump class twice a week – do this for 20 weeks and she will have trouble keeping up with you in the bedroom!

Fine tuning your performance.

Just because you can bench press 200kgs or can do 100 push ups doesn’t mean you are fine tuning your body to benefit your sex life. Conditioning your body for sex requires the smaller muscles we normally don’t pay attention to. Undertaking a cardiovascular workout 3 times per week will see you achieve your sexual peak…

The routine.

To enhance sexual performance necessitates structural movements that will condition your whole body to be very flexible and enduring. According to John Fuller – General Manager of plusfitness “consistency is the key in achieving your goals for any purpose when it comes to fitness, this should be combined with a strict diet full of fresh healthy food and varying your workout routine is important as opposed to doing the same exercises every time you go to the gym”. Your local fitness centre will provide you with advice and a programme to get you going.

The benefits of a better body.

Whether you are single or attached, looking to play the field or searching for your soulmate, perfect match, or love, sex comes in to play at some point. Many singles who lack self confidence as a result of a recent break up or through inexperience will take measures to improve their bodies for a confidence boost. In a recent survey conducted by Plus Fitness, 38% of respondents who had become members over the last 12 months were single and had joined the gym to boost confidence.

There is an association and common pattern that often occurs when people start out, and in this order… single status-lack of self confidence-joining a gym-sex-relationship….Subconsciously this is why we often take measures to improve our body image, to change our lives!

The fitness industry is booming and expanding on many levels, the gyms and beaches are full of the body beautiful, singles are proudly posting pictures of themselves on the internet or on online dating sites showing off their ripped torsos as they seek to secure their ultimate mission – finding their perfect match, soul mate, love or simply more sex!

Dating on a Budget

Sunday, August 9th, 2009

We all know about the doom and gloom of the economy, but why should it spoil our dating fun? In reality, we’re all counting our pennies but this can lead to some creative – and very romantic – dating ideas. The key is creativity…try using your combined imaginations. Here’s some ideas that won’t break the bank…

Nature is free – most of us live close to some sanctuary of beauty, even we city-dwellers. If you’re stuck for natural beauty spots in your area, check online, chances are there’s somewhere that’s slipped your mind, or so obvious you didn’t think of it.

There’s nothing cozier than the stars at night, and keep on the look out for the ultimate sign of fate – a falling star. So don’t forget to look up! Is there anything cheaper – or more romantic – than star gazing? Bring a bottle of (cheap) wine.

Go shopping for free, Window shopping that is, and pretend you can afford it all. Use your imaginations and have some fun!

Continue to browse. Museums, art galleries and arts fairs can be free or cheap to check out. Cool independent bookstores can be a great way to get to know your date and spark conversation between the pages.

Take a lazy stroll to the flea market. Walking through places like this is not only a great way to spend time (and spot a bargain in the process) but you’ll be able to chat about the stuff you see.

After a tiring day out and about, rent a movie and make a night of it. Choose the film together, get some popcorn and some Coke, put your feet up – and snuggle up. Scary movies are bound to get you to snuggle up even more! Trust us.

Or if shopping isn’t your thing, try wine or beer tasting – they’re usually inexpensive and are often located where there is romantic scenery. After your both nicely relaxed, return home and give each other a massage. Of course, this depends at what point you’re at in your relationship!

Another angle is to stay close to home – arrange your bathroom with scented candles, a bottle of bubbly, and calm, sexy music. Place rose petals on your bed (which is covered with your best sheets) and see what happens! Again, this will all depend on where you are in your relationship…

Step things up! Check out your city guide online and see what’s free and fun this week. Go check out some history – many historic landmarks are free or inexpensive to visit. And bring your camera – don’t forget to pack a picnic. Picnics are a fine tradition and what better way to spend time alone with your date, and while a picnic is cheap, there’s nothing that feels remotely “cheap” about them.

The Free Dating Sites Directory Review has this idea that we love: “A simple way to make things cost effective and to date more impulsively is to put both of (your) ideas…onto an individual sheet of paper and place them in a bowl. When your date opens up the door, ask he or she to reach inside and select a piece of paper. Kind of like a lucky dip. And the rules are this: You both must go on the selected date which has just become your random and spontaneous inexpensive date.”

Dating on a budget? You’re only limited by your imagination…
